A snapshot of the 0.8.0 update was released showing the new menu. It now features four sections, this new menu also includes the new blocks that will come out with the 0.8.0 update.

Beetroots in Pocket Edition
The latest update for PE Minecraft 0.8.0 will feature beetroots. A new crop, that will grow similarly to carrots, potatoes and wheat.
Beetroots will be red crops that will have seeds and beet vegetables. Probably they will be grow the same way as wheat, carrots and potatoes. However beetroots will also make a special new soup called Beetroot Soup. Also there will be a option to create red dye out of them. They will be a Pocket Edition only block.

Announcing New Server by Minecraft Newsletter
Hello Everyone,
Last weekend the Minecraft Newsletter Organization created a server, the server is still under construction so players cannot join yet, but when it will be ready we will offer many interesting options of playing on the server. I will not post the IP yet because the server is being built but keep checking the blog for news about the server being open to the public.
